I knew both our lives were over, but for a small instant, I wished differently. I could see us both living on long and happy lives, not normal, no, but happy. And running, always running. The shadow of pursuit would always haunt us no matter where we would go. I couldnt decide if a long life of running or if this short, happy moment of freedom with inevitable death was better.
